The high level of lighting efficiency means the spacing between SZL systems
can be up to 11m

Most current installations require 6m spacing between fittings the number of required fittings is therefore reduced by up to 45% for an
aisle installation and 70% for space lighting

Whilst still giving a homogeneous lighting level of 250 lux or 400 lux at
floor level from a 13m high ceiling depending on the SZL light source
Reduced running costs by up to 80%

Due to the short lamp warm-up time of less than 60 seconds and that the SZL
lightsource is located in the roof void, the SZL light system can be switched on or
off dependent on where the lighting is required

This can reduce the number of light fittings running at any one time by up
to 80%
Reduced running cost of refrigeration to remove the heat generated by the
lighting by up to 98%

The unique system of delivering light into the cold storage space via the
LTC means

Only 5% of the heat generated by the lamp is transmitted into the space

Combined with the reduction in the number of fittings, this will reduce the
amount of heat generated by the lighting within the space down to
approximately 3% of the original heat generated by conventional light
fittings located within the space
